- On 24th March 10, SSMC announced the 10th year anniversary celebration as a best-in-class company in the semiconductor manufacturing industry and the fulfillment of the company's 3,000,000th production wafer order. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Mr Teo Chee Hean, was the guest-of-honor to grace the celebration that was held in SSMC’s premises. Over 160 leaders from 50 companies, 15 government agencies, the Joint Venture shareholders, community leaders gathered for this occasion together with the senior executives of SSMC.
- A press conference was successfully held. Mr. Jagadish CV announced plans to invest US$30 million in research and development (R&D) and manufacturing expansion.

- On the 21st of February 2010, SSMC celebrated Lunar New Year with Pasir Ris Elias Community. SSMC was one of the sponsors for the celebration event, which aimed to foster community cohesion amongst people in the neighborhood.
- Guest-of-Honour, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Teo Chee Hean presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Jagadish CV, CEO of SSMC, for SSMC’s active supportive and contribution to the community.
- Aside from monetary contributions, SSMC employees supplemented the entertainment for the night as well. Mr. Ma Li-Guang from our photolithography department took part in ‘Er Hu’ musical orchestra. Moreover, the daughter of Sharon Su from Industrial engineering and planning also joint the dance performance.

- The Singapore Environmental Council (SEC) held a seminar on the 28th of Jan 2010, themed “Achieving Environmental Excellence in Manufacturing,” wherein Mr. Jagadish, CEO of SSMC, was the keynote speaker.
- As the 2006 Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards (SEAA) winner, Mr. Jagadish elaborated on SSMC’s efforts towards environmental conservation.
- The floor was thoroughly convinced by Mr. Jagadish’s message of “mutual benefits” that can be reaped by both the environment and the company through environmental initiatives.
- “SSMC is the leader in environmental excellence in the semi-conductor industry. There are many things to learn from SSMC.” Darren Chia from Singapore packaging, secretariat officer said.
