ISO 14000

The ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for environmental management system (EMS). It is a systematic approach to dealing with the environmental aspects of an organization. It is a 'tool' that enables an organization to control the impact of its activities, products and services on the natural environment, and achieve continual improvement of its environmental performance. We are currently certified to the ISO 14001:2004 revised standard, since December 2005.

OHSAS 18000

The OHSAS 18001:1999 standard is an international occupational health and safety management system specification. It is intended to help an organizations to control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed in response to widespread demand for a recognized standard against which to be certified and assessed. This specification was created via a concerted effort from a number of the worlds leading national standards bodies, certification bodies, and specialist consultancies. BS 7799, first published in February 1995, is a comprehensive set of controls comprising best practices in information security. BS 7799 is intendedto serve as a single reference point for identifying a range of controls needed for most situations where information systems are used. ISO/IEC 27001, published in October 2005 (replacing BS 7799), is an International Standard to provide a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

ISO/TS16949

ISO/TS 16949 is an ISO Technical Specification. Together with ISO9001: 2000 it specifies the quality system requirements for the design/development, production, installation and servicing of automotive related products. It details the fundamental, sector-specific, quality systems requirements that sustain continuous improvement and emphasize defect prevention while simultaneously reducing the magnitude of variation and waste in the supply chain.

OSHMS

The establishment of an Occupation Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS) is a mandatory requirement by the Singapore Ministry of Manpower for manufacturers of semiconductor wafers. It is a systematic process for managing workplace safety and health, and provides for goal setting, planning and measuring performance. An integral component is risk management, a process by which the management assesses the risks, determines the control measures, and takes appropriate actions to reduce such risks. The OSHMS is audited once every two years by an external party, based on the Code of Practice on SMS for the Chemical Industry (published in January 2001).
